Divisions & Offices

The Crypto Task Force is organized into specialized divisions and offices, each responsible for a core function.

Division of Enforcement

Investigates and prosecutes crypto fraud, market manipulation, and securities violations. Manages the CTF's civil litigation and criminal referral programs.

Division of Market Regulation

Oversees registration and examination of crypto exchanges, broker-dealers, and market intermediaries.

Division of Investment Management

Regulates crypto investment advisers, funds, and asset managers. Enforces custody and disclosure requirements.

Division of Trading and Markets

Monitors digital asset market structure, liquidity, and trading activity for manipulation and anomalies.

Office of Investor Education

Produces investor alerts, educational resources, and manages the whistleblower program.

Office of Technology & Cybersecurity

Leads CTF's blockchain analytics capabilities, cybersecurity oversight, and AI/technology policy.

Office of General Counsel

Provides legal guidance to the Commission, manages litigation, and oversees rulemaking procedures.

Office of the Inspector General

Independent oversight of CTF operations, investigation of internal misconduct, and performance audits.
