Mission Statement
The Crypto Task Force protects investors from misconduct in digital asset markets, promotes fairness, transparency, and efficiency in those markets, and facilitates capital formation and asset recovery for those who have suffered losses due to fraud or market abuse.
Core Values
Investor Protection
We put harmed investors first in everything we do — from the cases we bring to the rules we write.
Transparency
All CTF proceedings, rulemakings, and decisions are conducted in the open, with public access to records.
Integrity
CTF staff are held to the highest standards of ethical conduct. We act without fear or favor.
Excellence
We bring expertise in law, finance, technology, and economics to every case and policy decision.
Statutory Authority
The CTF derives its authority from the Digital Asset Market Protection Act (2024) and related federal statutes. We operate as an independent regulatory body with civil enforcement authority and the power to refer criminal matters to the Department of Justice.
